S.O.A.P. a method of spiritual journaling
S - “May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy spirit be with you all.” 2 Corinthians 13:14
O - Grace, love, fellowship (unity) are gifts of our great Triune God.
A - What a wonderful, prayerful blessing to bestow on God’s people! If we are filled with grace, then we will extend grace to all regardless of race, gender, position or life circumstances just as Jesus treated everyone equally with grace. If we love as God loves us, people will see Him through our actions and respond to His love…and if we truly are fellowshipping in the Spirit with each other then there will be a spirit of unity and peace among God’s people. The gospel in a nutshell - grace, love and peace displayed and lived out among believers for all the world to see. There’s absolutely nothing more attractive or compelling!
P - May this prayer be on my lips and in my heart today and the days to come for my life and those who love you, too. May I extend grace like Jesus did, love like you do, Father, and demonstrate more and more the fruit of the Holy Spirit.
