STEPPING Out with Compassion:
Rehabilitation for Trafficked Young Women
The statistics are horrifying. Six hundred women and children go missing every hour. In Kolkata, India, an urban centre of over 14 million people, young girls from impoverished families are particularly vulnerable to exploitation. Shame and stigmatization from their families will bring further isolation. Through your participation in the 2022 ABW Walkathon, you will come alongside Canadian Baptist Ministries so these young girls can receive victim counselling and training. Employable skills enable them to realize hope and a future free of exploitation and violence.
Walkathon Week is May 1 - May 7, 2022
UPDATE: As of March 14, 2022, proof of COVID vaccination, physical distancing and mask wearing are no longer required to attend interMISSION. Attendees may still wear masks and physically distance as they choose.
