YOUTH AND CREATIVE OUTREACH COORDINATOR
The Youth and Creative Outreach Coordinator encourages children’s leaders, WMS/ABW groups, and re-invigorate and renew the young adult, youth, and children’s divisions of the UBWMU/ABW (Little Lights, Global Adventures, and World Wide Guild) and empowers young women and girls in the Atlantic Provinces by raising their understanding of God’s love for them.
Hi, I’m Rev. Joanna Doak but most people call me Jo (or Pastor Jo). I’ve served as solo pastor and as youth and children’s pastor in a variety of our Canadian Baptists of Atlantic Canada Churches. I’ve created curriculum for Sunday School programs, day camps, youth groups, and leadership training. I’ve been pied, soaked, jumped off a bridge, and more… in the name of relating to kids and young people.
I’m also a singer, composer, actor, storyteller, writer, and director based in Fredericton, NB. I’ve performed across Canada and internationally on three continents. I’ve written, performed, and directed three children’s musicals and three general audience musicals.
And I’ve been privileged to travel to Europe, Africa, India, Cuba, and all across our own country to hear the stories of some amazing people who serve God with all they have to give.
Our Prayer

I like to work with the host church,
to tailor the event so that it best fits the space and people.
It can be a small and cozy party
or a LARGE-SCALE EVENT.
It can be for the girls of the host church or
they can invite their friends for an outreach event.
It can be a fancy dress party
or a laid back comfy pyjama party.
It can be a morning, afternoon,
or evening event.
Together we can be as creative and flexible as we want, to set up the best opportunity for your girls to experience God’s incredible love for them.
It all begins with an INVITATION!
It can be an invitation to come to your ABW group or WMS meeting to share what is possible, to dream of what you can do, and to take some of the mystery away from the culture the girls are living in today.

It can be an invitation to partner with you in hosting an event.
We’ll work out the details together to find what is best for you and your girls.
