 Saturday Workshop Choices
You will have time to attend 2 workshops
11:00 a.m.–12:15 p.m. and 2:00–3:15 p.m.

1. Resetting the Relationship: Truth and Reconciliation with Indigenous Peoples, with Katie Jewett
As people who follow Jesus, we are called to love our neighbours. Too often, our relationship with Indigenous Peoples has been marked more by ignorance and injustice than by love. But it’s never too late to choose a better path. In this workshop, we will talk about how to be better neighbours to Indigenous Peoples as we walk together towards justice and peace.

2. Supporting Our Sisters S.O.S with Rev. Carolyn King
Through the lens of pastoral care, come ask the question, “How can we care for one another?” Principles (including Biblical principles) of care will be explored. This session will consider countercultural possibilities for care and will explore what this means for our own concept of care. Community care will also be discussed. An opportunity to work through and apply principles of pastoral care will allow your church to continue to move forward in pastoral care ministry.

3. The Power of God in The Golden Triangle Region with Rev. Conrad and Fiona Kwok
For the past three years, Conrad and Fiona Kwok have been serving as Canadian Baptist Ministries Global Field Staff in the Golden Triangle region of Thailand. They work with the Bethel Bible Institute, and also with a rehabilitation centre, churches, and among minority tribal people in the mountainous region. They would like to share with you about their experience and the power of God at work in that area.

4. Camp - interMISSION “Outrageous! Up & Out” with Rev. Joanna Doak
Joanna Doak, Atlantic Baptist Women's Youth & Creative Outreach Coordinator, invites you to come and spend some time with the Camp – interMISSION girls at their event. Get to meet the girls and join in with the camp activities. Limit: 20 per workshop.

5. Reaching Out Courageously thru Short-Term Mission Trips, with Anne Drost and D. J. Moore
This workshop will discuss what is involved in a short-term mission trip from the "ground up." It will include practical methods of engagement, spanning from encouraging someone to go on an STM to being the person who does go. The workshop will also provide a "packing list" that is a must on every STM.

6. Arise, Be Bold & Join God! with Dr. Cheryl Ann Beals
Jesus wants to arise in us and empower us. We will explore how we can be more open to the presence and power of Jesus, through the Holy Spirit, working in us and through us. We will also explore some spiritual disciplines that can help us grow in our boldness and courage.

7. CO//323 Marketplace Ministries with Brenda Halk
CO//323 is a movement of God’s people who dare to reimagine what can happen at the intersection of work and faith. How do we live out our calling to integrate faith and work? Integral mission challenges us to share in the transforming mission of God in both word and deed. Brenda Halk, CBM's Senior Associate for Strategic Projects, will introduce ways in which CBM's work integrates ministry, business, and social transformation, including the role of CBM staff who are involved with Marketplace Ministries.

8. Grief and Loss Workshop with Rev. Tracey Grosse
This workshop will focus on the pain of grief and how it challenges our faith. What do we seriously think about God when our world is turned upside down because of a significant loss? Where is God when we desperately need him? How does one recover or get through it? To help us explore these questions and more, we will draw from the works of author, C. S. Lewis.

9. Fanny Crosby, Courageous Composer with Rebecca Moore
Join Rebecca Moore for a sing-along of Fanny Crosby’s compositions. Discover the history behind this legendary composer and some of her many classic hymns. You need not be a singer to participate!

10. Trusting God in the Unknown: Possessing and Occupying your God-Given Spaces with Rev. Sheila Ago
How do you see God? In your eyes, is he God Almighty or simply man-sized? In this season, will you stop running from the God-sized ventures he is calling you to? Can you trust in his promises to accomplish what he has whispered to your spirit? "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage. Be not afraid, neither be ye dismayed: for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go!" (Joshua 1:9).
